Updates

The first stage of the project to update and extend the Reading Room has been completed.  15 new LED strip lights have replaced the old fluorescent tubes, saving energy and money and reducing the Reading Room's carbon footprint.  The Ladies and Gents toilets have been refurbished to a high standard and are now cleaner, smarter and functioning better.  Please see the article about these improvements below.

August 2024

The second stage of the development project has now been completed with the solar installation serving the Reading Room and the Bowls Club.  The panels are located on the roof of the Bowls Club as the Reading Room has a thatched roof and is Grade 2 listed.  The 10 kW storage battery is located in the Reading Room itself.  We are very grateful to Huntingdonshire Futures for the grant support and guidance for this project.
