Reading Room Café

The Reading Room Café launched in October 2021. From the very beginning we had the simple mission of bringing people together in a warm and welcoming environment right in the heart of their community. We have indoor and outdoor seating and also provide a takeaway service.

We serve barista-style coffee with our fair-trade beans sourced locally from Coffee World in Cambridge. Our tea is also sourced in Cambridge from sustainable sources.

We bake fresh croissants, pains au raisin or pains au chocolat each morning and have at least two other delicious cakes on offer as well as healthy cereal and protein bars. We offer a limited range of gluten-free products.  We hold allergen information on all of our products and do not sell products which include nuts. We have been awarded a 5* Food Hygiene Rating following an inspection by Environmental Health officers.

We also support projects in the local community and have regular guest exhibitors at our events table. We maintain a collection point for The Need Project, a foodbank in Gamlingay.
